Same-Sex Marriage Debate on CNN
So I’m watching the same-sex debate on CNN, there are two men and two women debating the issue. Both of the women are for same-sex marriage and both of the men are against (one being a priest). Ironic? Still not quite sure why gays are being denied their right to marry. Come on people, it’s the 21st cent. lets get with the times here! People can not argue that the sanctity of marriage will be ruined if two men/two women are allowed to marry and … god forbid….raise a family! Marriage is not a sanctified union between a man and a woman, honestly…you can literally go to a drive through wedding or an Elvis wedding in Vegas. Really? I mean, really? Is that a sanctified marriage? Two ignorant/drunk heterosexuals can go get wed and annulled in a weekend and not think anything of it, but two men who love each other can’t get married because it ‘ruins the sanctity of marriage’?! I could go on, but I probably shouldn’t. It’s quite obvious I’m for equal rights to all homosexuals. This is more of a civil rights issue than anything. Women we’re even allowed to vote until 1920 and interracial weddings were illegal back until the civil rights movement in the 60s! I wonder if white, heterosexual, males realize how lucky they are. I don’t think they realize how much power they still hold….or maybe they do, and that’s why their afraid of loosing it.

ra ra shiscomba! I move into a new apartment in less than a week. I am capable of taking three classes on campus instead of the alloted one suggested by ‘professionals’. Also I’ll get to be around some actual human beings, which will be nice again. Cheers to a new year. Making new friends, being surrounded by the old, living, breathing, and eventually being myself again. Don’t call it a comeback.
